Amethyst Shards are a Lost Ark currency that is exclusive to the western (NA/EU) version of the game. In this guide, you will find out how to get Amethyst Shards and what you can buy with them!

1. How to Get Amethyst Shards

There are currently only two ways to get Amethyst Shards: through multiple achievements in-game and through events (such as Twitch Drops and Prime Gaming).

ℹ️ If you haven’t missed an event and exhausted all sources, you can currently earn a maximum of 16,500 Amethyst Shards.

1.1 Amethyst Shard Achievements

There are currently 6 achievements in Lost Ark that award you with Amethyst Shards. Through this method, you can farm a total of 5,000 Amethyst Shards.

Completed one of the achievements and wondering where your Amethyst Shards went? They will be delivered to your Universal Storage after completing an achievement. You can find this by first clicking on “Guide” in the bottom right menu and then selecting “Universal Storage”.

1.2 Events

So far, there have been five events that have awarded you a total of 11,500 Amethyst Shards.

Other events that will award Amethyst Shards have not yet been announced. However, it is likely that it will also be possible to obtain Amethyst Shards regularly in the future, e.g. via Twitch Drops or Prime Gaming Rewards.

2. Amethyst Shard Merchant Location

Amethyst Shards can be exchanged for a variety of rewards at the Amethyst Shard Exchange Vendor, called Mysterious Man in-game.
