150 days of temperatures below 60 degrees in Boise

Boise has experienced a near record-breaking run of days below 60.

As of March 31, it's been 150 days since the City of Trees saw temperatures 60 and up. That day was the day after Halloween, November 1, where the temperature peaked at 65.

This run of days is nearly a record. There are only three longer stretches in recorded history, and 2023's mark is set to surpass them.

Longest Run of Dates Below 60

1. 153 days -- Streak ended on 4/2/1899

2. 151 days (twice) -- Streaks ended 4/3/1891 & 3/25/1962

4. 150 days -- Streak ongoing. Streak began 11/2/2022

Tomorrow, April 1, the high is projected to be 50, meaning the city will have gone five entire months below the mark.

If Boise makes it through April 4th without going to 60 or higher, it will set a new record. The projected high on April 4 is 47, so it's a near lock. Temperatures don't climb to near 60 until Friday, April 7, when Boise is expected to hit 57.
